Autism Evaluations
We offer thorough, respectful evaluations designed to provide clarity—not confusion. Whether you’re seeking answers for your child or yourself, we’re here to guide you with experience, warmth, and understanding.
Understanding, Support, and Clarity
An autism diagnosis can open doors to the right support, services, and understanding. Both for individuals and their families. Our approach is gentle, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that clarity brings empowerment, not limitation.
We recognize that pursuing an autism evaluation can feel overwhelming or uncertain. That’s why we prioritize a clear, step-by-step process that honors each person’s strengths and needs—whether they’re 3 or 30. Our goal is to make this experience as informative and affirming as possible.
What to Expect
Your autism evaluation includes three sessions, all 60 minutes or less
1
Intake
We'll begin by getting to know you or your child and exploring current symptoms, concerns, and history. You’ll also receive questionnaires (such as the Vineland-3, SRS-2, and CARS-2) to complete at home before the next appointment.
2
Evaluations
The ADOS-2 assessment will be conducted in-session. For younger children, age-appropriate versions and additional tools like the M-CHAT or ASQ may be used. Please return the completed forms during this session.
3
Results
We’ll meet to review findings and discuss next steps. You'll receive a written diagnostic report (within 2 weeks) to share with your doctor or care team. We'll also explore therapy options, school resources, or support services.

FAQs

The evaluation that will be used is the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2). This will be done in the second appointment. The Vineland-3, SRS-2, CARS-2 and Sensory Processing Checklist are also used and are completed by the client or caregiver to help gather further information. For toddler aged children, the MCHAT and ASQ’s may also be used (for kids 5 and under). All scores from the ADOS-2 and the additional assessments will be put on the written report with the formal diagnosis.

We will meet at the results session and discuss all assessment results in depth. I will not move forward with the written report until we talk and discuss your thoughts/feelings on the scores and you feel comfortable moving forward. At that point, the report will be written and ready within 2 weeks of testing. You will then take it to your child’s primary care doctor for them to review as well. Things like ABA therapy, continued mental health therapy, school resources, and parenting resources will all be discussed with you during the results. Resources for adults on the spectrum are available as well.

The ADOS-2 evaluations can begin as early as 18 months and can be used through adulthood. My experience has included all age groups; from as young as 18 months to adults well into late adulthood. Five different versions of the evaluation are available to ensure I can select the version best suited for the client’s age and developmental range.

Just yourself! The testing has a specific set of toys that are utilized during the evaluation for younger kids and I will have those available. You will not need to bring any additional toys, just the assessments that were given at your first appointment!
